UK 3PL Cost Calculator

There is no UK 3PL rate index, so a calculator that invents “average” rates is guessing. This one does not. Enter your five numbers once, then put your real quotes side by side and see what each actually costs against your own volumes. Free to use, and no email required.

Step 1

Your five numbers

These are the five this tool prices against — your own volumes, not a market average. They are not the five you send a provider: that list wants your parcel weight and dimensions and your channels instead. The 3PL quote pack has it.

Your billing volume. Note peak separately.
Decides how much sits in additional-item fees.
Pallets, bins or shelves — whatever your quote prices in.
Pallets or units received, for goods-in.
Percentage of orders returned.

Optional, and not one of the five. No provider quotes on your AOV — this one is for you. Add it and every total below also reads as a percentage of order value.

Step 2

The quotes on your desk

Type each provider's rates from their quote. Every field is yours — this tool holds no rate card and assumes nothing about the market. Leave anything you weren't quoted at zero, and note that it was missing.

Read me
The rates below are placeholders to show you the shape of the tool. They are not market averages, not a benchmark, and not our prices — no such index exists for UK 3PL. Overwrite every one of them with figures from a real quote before you trust a total.
Step 3

What your numbers say

How this works, and what it doesn't do. Every figure above is yours to set, and the totals are only as good as what you type in. This tool publishes no rates of its own — not market averages, and not ours — because there is no independent UK rate index and any provider's figures are theirs alone. What it does is the arithmetic the quotes make hard to see: monthly cost = (orders × first-pick fee) + (extra items × per-item fee) + (storage × weekly rate × 4.33) + packaging + carriage + returns + fees. The 4.33 is the average number of weeks in a month, and it is the step most people miss when comparing a weekly storage rate against a monthly pick total. Estimates exclude VAT, peak surcharges, setup and exit fees — ask for those in writing.

Send us your volumes, product mix and channels and we will price the same figures you entered above, line by line, so it sits beside the others without translation.
