Fulfilment and 3PL in County Durham
Our warehouse is in Seaham, County Durham — FHDDS-accredited, HMRC bonded, and on the A19.
Durham Fulfilment & 3PL Services
We are a North East fulfilment operation: one warehouse, in Seaham, County Durham, run by our own staff. That matters to local brands who want a partner they can drive to and walk around, and it matters less than you might think to everyone else — carriers are national, and what actually decides your delivery promise is the despatch cut-off rather than the postcode the parcel leaves from. This page covers both cases honestly.

Unit 5, Fox Cover Enterprise, Admiralty Way, Seaham, County Durham, SR7 7DN. One building, our own staff, on the A19 between Sunderland and Hartlepool.
Three practical consequences. Inbound by road is straightforward — A19 access means artics and pallet networks reach us without a town-centre crawl. Inbound by sea is short — the Tyne and Teesport container terminals are both a modest road leg away, which takes cost and time out of drayage compared with trunking a container up from the South. Outbound sits inside the major carriers' overnight collection windows, which is what makes a same-day despatch cut-off meaningful rather than nominal.
Does your 3PL's location actually matter?
Less than most location pages imply, and we would rather say so.
For UK domestic delivery, the carriers are national. A parcel leaving County Durham on an overnight service arrives the next day in Cornwall the same as one leaving the Midlands, because it goes into the same trunking network either way. Choosing a 3PL by its distance from your customers is optimising the wrong variable.
What genuinely moves your delivery promise is the despatch cut-off — how late an order can arrive and still ship today — and whether that cut-off survives November. That is a question about staffing and process, not geography. Our guide to pick and pack covers how to interrogate it.
Where location does matter: inbound freight cost (a container discharged at Teesport and moved a short distance is cheaper than one trunked from Felixstowe), your ability to visit, and — if you are a North East brand — how easily you can sit in a room with the people handling your stock.
For North East brands
If you are in Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham, Darlington or Teesside, the useful part of a local 3PL is not the mileage. It is that you can come in unannounced-ish, see your stock on the shelf, watch a pick, and have a conversation with the person who packs your orders rather than an account manager three counties away.
That tends to matter most in two situations: when you are moving out of self-fulfilment and want to see what you are handing over, and when something has gone wrong and you want to look at it rather than read about it in a ticket. Both are easier when the building is half an hour away.
Tours are normal here. Ask for one before you commit to anything.
Inbound: pallets, containers and port proximity
We receive full loads, part loads, pallet-network deliveries and containers. Goods-in checks inbound stock against the delivery note, logs quantity and condition, and puts it away to a recorded location — so the first time a discrepancy appears, it appears on a record rather than in a stock count three weeks later.
For importers, the combination that matters is the bonded warehouse and the port distance together: stock can be discharged nearby, moved a short leg by road, and held duty-suspended until you release it. Our guide to the rules on duty, VAT and time limits covers what that means in practice, and UK customs clearance covers getting it across the border in the first place.
Who we serve from Seaham
Everything runs from this one site: ecommerce fulfilment across your channels, pick and pack including large and awkward goods, subscription boxes, and the regulated categories — supplements and beauty — that need lot tracking and expiry management.
Geographically: North East brands locally, the rest of the UK on the same national carrier services, and overseas sellers via FHDDS-accredited storage. If you are weighing a UK base against an EU one, UK vs EU fulfilment sets out the trade-off.
Key Capabilities
One Site, Our Own Staff
Unit 5, Fox Cover Enterprise, Admiralty Way, Seaham, SR7 7DN. Not a broker, not a network of partner sheds you cannot visit.
On the A19
Direct A19 access for inbound pallets and outbound collections, inside the overnight collection windows of the major UK carriers.
Near Tyne and Teesport
Both container terminals are a short road leg away, which shortens the drayage on inbound sea freight.
Bonded and FHDDS
HMRC-approved bonded storage and FHDDS accreditation on the same site, so duty-suspended stock and overseas sellers are handled in one place.
North East and National
Newcastle, Sunderland, Durham and Teesside brands locally; the rest of the UK on the same carrier services.
Come and See It
In-person tours are normal here, not a sales occasion. If you are within driving distance, use that.
Why Brands Choose Us
A warehouse you can actually visit — most brands never see the building their stock lives in.
Regional property costs mean North East storage is generally cheaper per pallet than the South East, without a compromise on the operation.
FHDDS accreditation and HMRC bonded status on one site, which is uncommon anywhere in the UK.
Direct A19 access and short road legs to the Tyne and Teesport container terminals.
The despatch cut-off is published to you at onboarding and holds through peak — the thing that actually governs your delivery promise.
